About the Summer School 2026
The School is aimed at researchers and PhD students in Banach Space Theory and related areas. The comprehensive program encompasses a series of mini-courses and talks by both junior and senior researchers, as well as free time to foster open discussions and collaboration among participants.The School will include minicourses by:
- Christina Brech (University of São Paulo, Brazil): Combinatorics in nonseparable Banach spaces.
- Marek Cúth (Charles University, Czech Republic): Descriptive set theory in Banach spaces.
- MarÃa Japón (University of Seville, Spain): Metric fixed point theory with applications.
- Mikhail Ostrovskii (St. John’s University, USA): Finite-dimensional transportation cost spaces.

The School will be held at the Centro Internacional de Encuentros Matemáticos (CIEM) in Castro Urdiales (Spain)Please note that Castro Urdiales is a summer vacation town so we strongly suggest to book your accommodation in advance.
